Catching up

These past few months have been a bit stressful- moving, giving my notice at work (and all of the emotions that went along with that), and hoping that the sale of our house would go through.  Although our house was only on the market for less than ~5 days (that includes all 3 times added together), it took us 5 months to get our house sold! When Jamison and I made the final decision in December to pursue moving and having me stay home from work, we did not realize it would take us a half a year to get there. With all of the stress and taking care of two houses, we really did not do too many 'fun' family things over the past few months.  Looking back at the pictures from early April, I can't believe how much Emmery has grown!
I am going to just do a photo dump of the pictures I have from April- beg of July.

We found an old upright from ~1880 on Craigslist for $100.  The keys are worn and some of them don't work, but Emmery enjoys playing the piano and seeing how the keys move. Here she is playing with Grammy and Grandpa Martin.

Running and loving it!  She started walking all by herself early-mid April.

We went to a toy store, and Emmery pushed the ~$45 baby stroller all around the entire time we were there.  We found a stroller the next day at the flea market for ~$5.

In late May, Emmery and I took a girls' trip out to San Diego to visit Hannah and meet baby Brody. Kelly and Tracey were both 8 months pregnant, so when the postman saw us taking a walk (pregnant Kelly and Tracey, Hannah pushing Brody, and me pushing Emmery), he commented that we were quite the caravan!  We had a great time just relaxing and talking- it reminded me of weekend mornings when we were in college :)
Emmery and I also went and had dinner with some people that I worked with at CSU- quite a few of them are now working in San Diego.  I left with such a warm feeling- it makes you realize how much the people you work with become close friends.

Emmery wasn't too interested in Brody, but she was enthralled with Charlie- she dog.  When Cameron (Hannah's husband) was home, he constantly had a trail of Charlie following him and Emmery following Charlie.

I tried to take some pictures of her at school her last week, but she of course started crying because I was leaving and then the pictures didn't turn out well or represent how much she loved her school.
