She went down to Granny and Grandpa Martin's house for the weekend and got to spend a lot of time jumping on the trampoline. They have taught her how to take turns, so that she now shouts out "Emmy's turn!" anytime she wants to do anything.
Emmy got to have a sleepover with her cousins.
While Emmery was with her grandparents, Jamison and I were both in 'nesting' mode working on the basement, moving furniture around to get the nursery somewhat together, and cleaning. I may have gone to Walmart at 6am to get cleaning supplies and Jamison may have spent a restless night researching vacuums…
Later in the week Emmery and I met some friends at the butterfly pavilion. Here Em is meeting Rosie the tarantula.
This blurry picture captures what I spent most of my time doing- chasing her around the butterfly house, which is not easy when you are 9months pregnant and cannot easily weave in and out of lots of school kids.
Sliding down the leaf. Doesn't she look a little girl in this pic with her long skinny legs?
We also went and got Em a haircut at a kids salon. She just sort of looked around and analyzed the place the whole time, especially the kid balling next to her. When she was done she got down from the chair, walked over to the mirror, and gave a huge smile at her new 'do'. And in case you're wondering, they only charged me for a crewcut :)

Emmy found the baby's hat and came downstairs looking like this:

What a fun time enjoying her last days alone. I LOVE the pic of her coming down the stairs with the hat - so funny!
