Dino party time

This week we all tried to settle into our new routines.  We all are pretty exhausted by the end of the day.  On Wednesday Emmery slept from 3:30 in the afternoon until 3:30 the next morning (I woke her up to eat around 9pm). After eating in the morning, she fell back asleep until we left for school and work at 7am!

On Friday evening we  went over to Doug and Denise's to wish them bon voyage- they left this weekend to go hike the Colorado trail for a month.

On Saturday we headed down to Kelly and Dane's for a dinosaur party for Carter (3) and Landon (1).  I made a fort kit for their gift.  I won't take credit for the idea (pinterest), but I was pretty happy with how it turned out.  

I sewed loop ties to the edge of two sheets

And got suction cups, clamps, clothespins, rope, and glow sticks

And then made a bag with a felt dinosaur on front.

We had a great time at the party seeing everyone!  After we left Jamison even commented on how fun it was :)
Emmery and Mason got to play together (he's one month older than Emmery).  This picture captures the most interaction and interest they had with each other :-)

The moms and babies.  The 1 year old birthday boy is in the middle!  And although I watched him and his brother test out and dig into their mini cakes, I didn't manage to get any pictures :(
It will be so much fun to see all these little ones grow up together!

Hannah came out this weekend from San Diego!  She came up and spent the day with Emmery and me on Sunday.  We walked downtown and went out to lunch, went to a few shops, and got some coffee.  It was so great to have the whole day to just sit together and talk.  And Emmery loved her (as all kids do)
