After being used to seeing our parents ~every 2 weeks, not seeing either of them for almost 4 weeks seemed like a long time! But this week Emmery finally got to spend time with some of her favorite people- her grandparents. She is always smiling when they are around :)
Jean and Tom came up on Tuesday.
And on Wednesday Johnny and Amanda and family came up to celebrate the 4th of July with us!
Emmery had the cutest 4th of July dress :)
Playing cards with Daddy
For lunch we had lots of meat- grilled chicken, ribs, and bratwursts, salad, tri-colored potato salad, and red, white, and blue fruit. For dessert we had apple pie and ice-cream. And I went to bed with a very full belly.
After lunch we walked down to City Park to listen to some bands (no fireworks this year due to the fires).
Emmery loves Mikah!
You can just see Quincie's excitement :-)
Look at those eyelashes!
Everyone had a good time kicking around the soccer ball.
And Emmery took a short nap.
Yes- we all dressed up for the 4th :-)
Quincie dancing to the music
Loves her Daddy!
We tried to take a cousin picture. But Quincie just felt the music...
And had to get up and dance! I like Milan's smile in this one

And by early evening everyone was pretty worn out from all of the sun.
My mom came up Thursday, and my Dad came up Friday. It ended up being perfect timing, because Emmy Lou got her first cold :-( Thursday night was a rough one- her sinuses were stuffed and she had a cough. My parents were worried it was in her chest, so they took her to the doctor on Friday. But she checked out okay and has spent the last 3 days resting and trying to get better. Surprisingly she has kept smiling throughout being sick- such a good baby!
Scott and Katie came up Saturday to go out to breakfast for my Mom's birthday.
Emmery has been more snuggly than normal while being sick.
And with a red nose and watery eyes, I still had her pose for her 14 week old pictures. My mom helped with her chalkboard this week, and I think it's the cutest yet!
And after a busy week, Emmery and I fell asleep early on Saturday night.
