We got Emmery a big girl bed earlier this year, and she instantly loved reading in it and jumping on it. Recently she started actually sleeping in it! We decided to take down her crib with her to help her fully transition to using the big girl bed. It was bitter sweet- our little girl is growing up!
Here is Jamison disassembling the crib while Em watches. I would kill Jamison if he ever posted a picture of my butt like this :)
Looking back at her crib as it gets taken down.
And helping Daddy make her bed a little longer. She is always wanting us to read to her in there, and the smallest size was just too little for Jamison and me.
And reading with Daddy while drinking her milk before falling asleep.
Emmy also got a new large blanket for her bed, and I came downstairs one day to find her like this. Such a snuggle bug :)

March madness
With warmer weather (yay!!!), working on the house, and birthday celebrations, March has flown by.
Here is a bit of a photo dump...
Emmery got Holland's old gymnastics outfit. It was a cold day and she really did not want to wear the pants, but she finally relented when she looked outside.
Emmery's happy place- outside in her boots and blowing bubbles :)
We picked up a $1 wand at Target, and Em had fun being a fairy for the day.
My friend Leanne just had a new baby girl in Feb, so my mom, Emmery, and I went to visit her. Leanne's son, Mason, is only a few weeks older than Emmery- it was fun to see them play together. They ate muffins for a snack and Leanne pointed out the differences in how they ate :)
My mom holding sweet baby Kynley.
My mom has also been coming up with my Dad and helping watch Emmery and prepare meals. She watched Em one afternoon while I got ready and went out with some friends for lunch to celebrate my birthday.
Here I am at ~31 weeks pregnant.
We had a great lunch- thanks Kel for organizing it!
Afterwards they had fun playing at the park and having a picnic. Such a nice Spring day!

Jean brought Quincie up for the day and took her and Emmery to the Butterfly Pavilion. She even got the girls special butterfly dresses to wear :)
As I've mentioned, we have been very busy finishing our basement. My brother and Dad came up one weekend to help hang drywall. It sure has been nice to have so much help! Emmery thinks Uncle Scott is still in the basement and is always saying good-bye to him when we leave :)
They are such workaholics that they really don't like to be bothered (even if I'm only asking them what they want for lunch). But I did manage to squeeze in a few pictures.

My birthday fell on a Saturday, and Jamison actually took the day off from working on the basement! We had a nice relaxing day just hanging out as a family (even though that did include going to look at some flooring :))
He baked me a chocolate cake from scratch!
He has had quite a sweet tooth these past few weeks and has made a few batches of cookies too, which I sadly admit are better than mine.
Here he is guarding the cookie dough because I can't stop eating it and he thinks it's bad for me while I'm pregnant.
Em and I also headed up to Fort Collins one day to visit Janelle and Evan. I used to work with Janelle's husband. We went to their house for breakfast and then headed out to a farm. It was a beautiful day and the kids had fun feeding the animals.
Afterwards they had fun playing at the park and having a picnic. Such a nice Spring day!

A visit with GG and Great-Grandpa
Emmery and I decided to go to Michigan to visit family while she is still under 2 and free. With me being pregnant, it was basically a 3-for-1 plane ticket deal!
My grandparents' house has always been one of my favorite places to go since I was little. And family get-togethers are always so fun :) However, I find myself getting caught up in the conversations and laughter and forget to take pictures...
So here is a collection of the pictures I did snap.
This is a waterlogue rendition of the Valentine flowers in my Grandma's front window. She decorates the window for each season.
My Aunt Stacie brought over lots of toys for Emmery to play with, and she had a great time playing with all of them. She especially loved playing with the dolls and chairs.
Emmery got to hang out with Brooke quite a bit. She loved her and called her "the Princess"
The girls had fun playing in the play area and then riding the carousel.
For lunch we ate at Rainforest cafe where the animals come to life :)
She also played quite a bit with Megan and Zach.
This picture is blurry, but you can see Emmery and Eddie dancing and the guys of course playing cards in the background.
Emmery and Elyse coloring.
Luckily Grandpa realized quickly that her boot fell off!
Emmery enjoyed trying on everyone's shoes. Here she is wearing Great-Grandpa's!

One afternoon we had a lunch play date at the mall with Brooke, Grammy, Aunt Stacie, and Nicole.

Great-Grandpa took the entire family (there ended up being 30 of us!) to Red Robin for dinner. Here is Em with Alex.
She also played quite a bit with Megan and Zach.
We went over to my Dad's twin brother's house one day and Emmery had fun playing with the Elyse, Eddie, and Kyla.

The weather was bitter cold while we were there (although it was warmer than it had been the past few weeks), so when the temperature went above freezing my grandpa, dad, brother, and Emmery headed outside to take down the Christmas reindeer.
Luckily Grandpa realized quickly that her boot fell off!
It was really nice to just hang out with my grandparents. Emmery woke up this morning and asked for Great-Grandpa!
And GG, who Emmery shares her middle name with :)
We had a great trip. And with all the help I got watching after Emmery (especially from my parents and brother), I had a pretty relaxing vacation!
I heart Valentine's Day
We had a fun and busy Valentine's Day this year.
Emmery got a special VDay gift in the morning full of puff balls and other fun things.
It was the first nice day we had had in awhile, so her and I decided last minute to go to the zoo for a special Mommy-Daughter date.
Usually the polar bear exhibit is uneventful, but this time we got to see them playing together underwater. The zoo sent out an email that the two normally solitary animals are being extra friendly these days. Nothing like witnessing some "love" on Valentines Day!
We ate lunch while watching the elephant show. Emmery was more interested in running around.
We then headed home for a short nap and then to the library for a Valentine's party where Emmery made some fun art projects and got her share of sugar! (the paper heart she made previously with Grammy)
But what really made Em's day was when Daddy brought her home a princess heart balloon :)
