It's a ….

GIRL!!!
Our little 'Peanut' will now have to be called 'Sweet Pea' (it sounds more girly :))
She is growing a ton, or at least I am :-p

Last week Emmery was sick all week, so we stayed in and tried to get healthy. Here's what happens when you're coup'ed up inside for too long… shirt off, pants falling down, full diaper, marker on face, and singing her version of "If you're happy and you know it"

She of course then crashed

Luckily we had some visitors throughout the week- my parents and Jean.
Here is sick-looking Em watching her favorite- "the Letter Factory" with Grammy.

My old manager had given us a dress when I was pregnant with Emmery that she had originally bought for her future little girl when she first found out she was pregnant (she ended up having 2 boys :-p)
Even though Em wasn't feeling good, she came to life once the dress was on.

While my parents were here I braved the weekend crowd at Ikea to get Emmery a 'big girl' bed. She loves to read and jump on it, but hasn't yet slept in it.

We also hung up some Valentine hearts on her window. I love the Silhouette that I got for Christmas from Jean and Tom!

And after a week inside, I was starting to go crazy. Luckily Emmery was feeling better this weekend and so we went to the park, where she wanted to try out the 'big girl' swing.

And although I don't have any pictures, I have to mention that Jamison and my dad painted a large portion of our house this weekend.  They did a great job!

This week we are getting back on track… Today we went to 'Music & Movement' at the library. Em loves to sing and dance along with the other kids :)

Family and presents

We had a great Christmas with our families and feel fortunate that we live close enough that we get to celebrate with both of them.
On Christmas eve my mom came up to our house. My dad was unfortunately sick with the flu :(
Here is a picture of Grammy and Em on our way to church.

After church we had dinner and then opened presents from my parents and grandparents.

Emmery helped clean up after opening gifts with her new vacuum from GG (Great Grandma).  However, she is still not a fan of the real vacuum.

Puzzle fun

In the morning, Em saw her gift from Santa- a new kitchen!

Playing with her daddy Christmas morning :)

We headed down to Tom and Jean's house Christmas day, where we opened gifts with Johnny and Amanda's family. It's fun to open gifts with so many kids!

Em singing into her new microphone.

Showing off her new Christmas leggings.

Johnny & Amanda. Amanda made most of her gifts this year, and they were so cool. Jamison got an indoor snowball fight kit and Emmery got an apron, tea bags, and a dog doll.

Quincie opening her new Barbie-mobile.

Johnny with his new truck.

Mikah with his new truck.

And Milan with his new helicopter.

Tom gave Jean chocolate pearl jewelry- she was so surprised. I love this picture.

Emmy loved the scarf Jean made for her.

After presents, we had a yummy dinner that Jean made. Here she is holding the cheesecake dessert.

Playing on the trampoline with Grandpa.

Cuddling with Grandma and her doll the next morning.

Merry Christmas!

Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas!

Emmery thinks any guy with a white beard is Santa :) And then she always says, "Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas!"
We went with Kelly and Dane one night to the Zoo lights, where they had what I think was the real Santa. Em wasn't so sure about him...

She didn't cry, but she was definitely uncomfortable.

The boys and Emmery.

Em was pretty mellow throughout the whole thing and just sort of took it in. She especially loved getting to see an elephant up close.

We also met Kelly and Dane another day at the Monkey Bizness in Denver- an indoor playground. That day they had Christmas crafts.

Emmery trying on her glasses that turn Christmas lights into little "Noels".

We also had Alexis, Addison, and Sydney over one afternoon to decorate Christmas cookies. Addison loved eating the frosting and putting lots of sprinkles on her cookies :)

All Emmery did was eat the sprinkles. She somehow ended up with a snowflake sprinkle stuck to her forehead :)

If we are upstairs and can't find Emmery, she is probably on the computer :)

Climbing up the ladder all by herself at the playground.

And lastly, me at 20weeks pregnant. We find out tomorrow if we are having a boy or girl!
