While sorting through pictures I realized that I am even worse at keeping bad pictures now that things are digital. With young kids and my lack of photo expertise, I usually snap 10 pictures of a shot and hope one turns out. So my new (mid-year) resolution is to start deleting the sub-par ones. In addition, I have decided to quit blogging and instead invest my time in creating an annual family yearbook that we can print out (I haven't really found a good way to print out the blog). So, good-bye blogging! (sorry Mom)

Good bye blogging
As we reach the final stages of our basement remodel, we decided to go through old 'memory' boxes and purge- we really don't want our girls seeing some of our past pictures :)

Dylan's photo shoot
Amanda (Jamison's sister) hooked us up big time with a newborn photo shoot for Dylan. We went when Dylan was 12 days old, and I am sooo excited to share the pictures of our cute little munchkin.
We started off with some family pics (which I'm guessing had to be photoshopped to get us all looking at the camera at the same time)
Emmery looking so grown-up!
And now for baby Dylan
These two pictures remind me of how she curls up on your chest.
Dylan has beautiful deep grey-blue eyes right now. Here she is in a blanket from her Aunt Amanda.
And with her treasured quilt made by her Grandma Jean.
The next few pictures show all of the details that I can spend hours looking at
The following ones are some of my favorites- so 'organic' feeling.
I love how the pictures capture Dylan and all of her chubbiness, cuteness, and soulfulness.
I also thought it would be fun to compare some of Em's and Dylan's baby pictures. We had Emmery's done by the same photographer when she was only 1 week old. If you cover up Dylan's hair you can see that the girls don't look identical (Dylan has a wider jaw and different profile on her nose), but you can tell these 2 are sisters. Or do all babies put in the same pose look similar?

2 weeks old!
Dylan's first 2 weeks home flew by- she's already looking older (slow down please)!
Like all babies, she looks right into your soul.
Emmery of course was not too sure about Dylan. But on Wednesday she finally showed some positive interest- I caught her talking to Dylan!
And by Thursday she even wanted to hold her baby sister.
First bath at home
My mom stayed with us the first week and helped a ton while dealing with my moody swings, sleeplessness, and frustrations of not being able to do everything around the house. THANK YOU MOM!
She also helped me to get a photo shoot in new coordinating (really cute) outfits that she gave them.
Here Em is comparing their feet.
We had a few friends bring us dinner our first week home, which was sooo appreciated. Emmery also got a few gifts. Here she is opening one from one of her favorite people- Kelly!
I thought about only doing monthly pictures for Dylan, but then realized she would think it unfair that I did weekly pictures for Emmery… so weekly pictures it is!
I swear she smiled the first hour she was born :)
Our first weekend home we went for our first walk using our new double stroller!
We went to Sydney's first birthday, and Emmery had fun playing with the gift that we bought for her. I think we need to get some more trucks and cars for her to play with!
Amanda and her family came up to visit and get more snuggle time.
Emmery of course loved playing with so many of her cousins!
Johnny played for Dylan.
Jean came up our second week home and helped out with the girls, around the house, and cooking- luckily I wasn't quite as moody as the first week. I am so lucky to have such a great mother-in-law!
The weather was nice and she took Emmery on several long visits to the park, where Em made her follow her up and down the slides and all around the playground :)
I tried to get some pictures of the girls in another set of coordinating outfits from Grammy Brewer, but I only managed to capture the 'big' on Em's shirt- it says 'big sister'.
Giving Dylan a kiss.
Later I tried to do Dylan's 2 week photoshoot.
But she quickly became squirmy- look at all these expressions!
After that she spit up on her shirt. So here is another round…
which started out okay until…
Emmy saw what we were doing. Yes- those are nail clippers in her right hand!
I guess here you can see the full shirt- 'big sister'. This picture pretty much captures their relationship right now :)
Doesn't she look so much older already!?
