Dancing

We closed on our new house this weekend!
We are excited, but some of that excitement has been overshadowed by the fact that we have now had two buyers walk away from buying our current house. The first set of buyers made strange requests from the beginning, so we expected that one to possibly fall through. But the second one was a bit surprising. They were concerned about the foundation and structural support. So, we are going to get a report from a structural engineer and then decide where to go from there.

Here is a little video clip of Emmery dancing.  I ended up having to go into work on a day that both Emmery and I were both supposed to have off, so our friends Zac and Janelle watched her.  They have a little boy that is 3 years old that Emmery has fun following. I am guessing she got some of these moves from him :)

Bunnies and birthdays

We went back and did Emmery's 46 week old pictures (at 51 weeks)
Here she is wearing a hat that was knit by our neighbor Denise, and it is ADORABLE!  She wears it almost everyday.
You can see that she is getting harder and harder to keep still for photo shoots :)

And on March 30th our little bean turned 1! She is no longer a baby and suddenly a little toddler.
She is very inquisitive, quite determined, and silly.
She LOVES walking while holding onto people's feelings, being around other kids, dancing to music, and being or looking outside.
Her favorite foods are bananas, yogurt, avocado, and puffs.

Here she is walking towards me- too cute!

We did a cupcake smash on her birthday!

Here are my two favorite pictures

And right after that she got a birthday bath

Then she played music with her Daddy.

On Sunday we went down to C Springs for Easter and to celebrate with our families.  Emmery had so much fun that she refused to take a nap all day and then passed out at we were leaving.
Jean cooked up some wonderful food

Cousin Quincie helped Emmery to open up her gifts- Emmery loved her pink bow on the present she got from Uncle Scott and Aunt Katie.

Cousin Johnny with his tough face

Quincie helping Emmery to draw (Emmery of course ended up drawing on Quincie's legs)

The Easter bunny stopped by for an Easter egg hunt. It was a beautiful Spring day!

Emmery loved the Easter bunny

All in all a wonderful 1st birthday!
