Changes in Sight

We have been super busy over the past 2 months looking for a new house and getting our house ready to sell, hence no blogging :-p
Houses are selling very fast in the price range we are looking in, which has meant constantly looking at them online and going to see houses as soon as they come on the market.
Here are Emmery and I checking out some houses for sale.

After seeing at least 30 homes and figuring out what city and neighborhoods we liked, we are finally under contract on a house that we love and are set to close on April 12th!  As soon as we saw this house come on the market we were ready to make an offer.  But our realtor met Jamison on a snowy Saturday and we made an offer that night.  There were rumors that another couple had seen the house the same day and were going to make an offer too, and the next day the house had 7 showings!  Luckily the seller decided to meet us in the middle of our asking and listing price rather than go into a bidding war.  I finally saw the house yesterday when we got our inspection done- luckily I love it :-)  Here is a picture of our new home.

When not looking at houses, we have been doing finishing details, painting, cleaning, de-cluttering, and doing some re-arranging. And finally getting a house meant we needed to get our  current home on the market fast.
Emmery has been such a trooper going to see all of these houses and been a big helper...
Here she is helping to pick out a plant to help 'stage' our office.  No plants have ever survived under my care, so I picked one that I know is pretty resilient and am hoping it will make it until we officially sell our home :-)

And helping Jamison to put in the new front door that he stained- which looks beautiful!

Squeezing in meals whenever possible.

And running errands while our home has a showing on a snowy evening.

She loves pushing the cart and gets frustrated when we have to stop to look at something or check out. The other day we were checking out at the grocery store and I looked over to see her pushing the cart back of the people behind us in line- they thought it was pretty funny :)

I will do another post showing 'before' and 'after' pictures of our current home...
But for now here are all of Emmery's weekly pictures! Last weekend I realized I was writing '51 weeks'  and Emmery still had 2 weeks until she turned one.  It didn't take me long to realize that I skipped over 46 weeks- seriously? I will just have to do 46 weeks this weekend.

48 weeks (really 47)

Our realtor provided a stager for us, who told us to move Emmery's chair out of her room. For 2 weeks it sat in the corner of our living room to be taken to a friend's house (where the next 2 weekly photo sessions were done).  However, after 2 weeks I realized I missed it in her room and couldn't not have it for the last few weeks of her year-long series!  So then we moved it back into her room.

This series cracks me up. She is wearing a cute little dress that Kelly made for me when I was pregnant.
This was the only time we had to do the pictures, and she was cranky to say the least

And dealing with teething pain

And bored and looking out the window

Until she saw her daddy

And then she started to smile

And laugh

And clap

And was sooo happy

And then Daddy got her!

Too cute :)

Happy St Patricks Day! This was her holiday outfit from Grandpa and Grandma Brewer.  She liked playing with the headband much more than wearing it :)
