XQÍΩA,»

This week Emmery named the blog post- she enjoys playing on my laptop any chance she gets... Not sure how she got some of those symbols in a matter of 10 seconds!

Emmery went to the doctor twice this week for being sick and her 9 (and 1/2) month well visit.
That's right- she was sick. Again.  And because of it she was very fussy and extra cuddly.
On Thursday she refused to eat anything. At lunch she finally ate 3 bites of egg (her first time having the white part of the egg after the doctor told me it was fine) and broke out in hives under her chin :(
Luckily no immunizations at the 9 month well visit!
She is tracking right along her normal curve:
   height: 27.5"(50%)
   weight: 15lbs,10oz (5%)
   head cir: 44.5" (50%)

For her weekly picture, Emmery is wearing a sweater and booties that were Jamison's when he was a baby :) She is also surrounded by his baby blankets and is reading an old book from great-Grandma Mardee.
I couldn't help myself- I had to antique the pictures.

Does she look like Jamison?

Love these sweet yellow booties.

Happy New Year!

Catching up on the blog...

Here are some pictures from Doug's retirement party in December. It was at the movie theatre downtown with Doug's requests- pizza, beer, and a movie. Of course Denise had cute fire hydrant sugar cookies and a photo booth :)
I gave Jamison a top hat and flowers

And Emmery glasses and a full head of pink hair :)

Here is some of Emmery's original artwork

I love this one

This was her Christmas present to Jamison and me, all wrapped up and everything :)

39 week old pictures. She has started clapping!  I love her Christmas outfit, and she is very curious about her shoes.

For New Years we went up to Steamboat with Kelly, Dane, Tracey, and Sean.  Kelly and Dane had a free place to stay that was within walking distance of the slopes!  Despite the fact that both Kelly and Tracey are pregnant (which I am super excited about!) and Jamison and I didn't stand a chance of making it to midnight (we are getting old), we had a great time.
Kelly,Tracey, and Emmery went out to breakfast and took naps

While the rest of us went skiing/snowboarding.  I hadn't been in so long, that when I put on my board I couldn't even remember which foot I put forward.  Luckily after a bloody mary I felt much more confident :)
This photo make Jamison and I look like short people :)  But only because the slope that we're on is so steep!

Emmery loves to play guitar with Daddy.  She has started dancing, more like bopping her head, to music :)

Happy New Years! Emmery has officially been out of my belly for as long as she was in.
For as much as she loves chewing on everything (including our coffee table), she didn't want to put this in her mouth...
The cute boots and vest are from Aunt Amanda and family.  That's right- Apple bottom jeans, Boots with the fur... Daddy better watch out!

Kelly, Tracey, and I had Group-ons for Pinot's Palette- one of those places where you drink wine and paint a picture step-by-step. We had gotten the deal before Kelly and Tracey were pregnant and I was sick, so it wasn't quite the night we had in mind.  But I still enjoyed the night and think our paintings look pretty good!

41 weeks!  In the past week Emmery had 5 teeth come in- all 4 up top and another on the bottom. She has been quite the cuddle bug lately.
This cute number is from Grandpa Ken and Grandma Patty :)

Christmas Week

This year Christmas lasted all week for us.  Kellie and her family came to Colorado for Christmas (the first time in over a decade!), so we spent Christmas week in Colorado Springs.

Jamison snapped some quick shots of Emmery right before we headed down for the week. This is one of my better chalkboard designs

Holland decided she wanted to get her ears pierced while they were out here.
A little nervous before the piercing...

Ow!

That really hurt!

It's done! Isn't she cute without any front teeth :)

Scott and Katie baked Christmas cookies and everyone else decorated them.

My mom's #1 request was to take a group shot.  So we all dressed up in coordinating outfits before church and took some pictures.

After church we opened up gifts.  All of the kids got pjs from Grandma and Grandpa.

Emmery loves her toy with a mirror and moving eyes from great-Grandma and great-Grandpa!

The girls were soooo excited to get American dolls from Kellie and Eric.  They got their first choices, which happen to look similar to them :)

On Christmas we went over to Tom and Jean's with Amanda and her family!  Jean, a gourmet cook, had amazing food for breakfast and dinner.

Johnny was feeling quite dapper in his new suit coat :)

This hat also plays music!

Emmery with Quincie

Uncle Scott with his nieces and nephews- they LOVE him

I love watching Torrington play with Emmery.  He is all boy- a little tornado!  But when it comes to Emmery he is so sweet- letting her play with whatever toy she wants, showing her how to crawl up steps, and having her crawl through his legs.  He is constantly gently patting her head :)

Emmery loved taking baths and splashing with her cousins.

Hannah and Holland always hold Emmery up on their hips- they look like little teenagers!

Kavanaugh is such a sweet little boy- always asking to sit next to me at dinner or ride in my car.  I like to cuddle with him :)

Holland adores Emmery.  Here they are dressed up for our girls' lunch with Kristy!

We had a great week with the Jensen family!  Merry Christmas!
