Thanksgiving with the Malloys!

This year we got to spend Thanksgiving with the Malloys!  We had a great week in Michigan- we relaxed, played cards, did a little shopping, ran, helped put up Christmas lights, went to a movie, went to Red Robin, got highlights, watched Dancing with the Stars, ate good food, and Emmery enjoyed getting to know her second cousins, aunts and uncles, and great grandparents.

We met my parents at the Denver airport and all flew out together.  Emmery liked playing with Grandpa Jeff's hat!  She also enjoyed sleeping with him on the flight.

The first night we got there they had a surprise celebration for Jamison's 30th birthday :)

Aunt Jennie also came out and stayed at my grandparents' house with us.  Emmery loved playing with her great Aunt Jennie.

Happy little girl.  Every morning Emmery sat in the center of the dining room table and got lots of attention while everyone ate breakfast and did Sudoku's.

We went over to Aunt Stacie's one day for a special lunch, and Gavin and Brooke showed Emmery the Indian hats they made for Thanksgiving.

Emmery felt right at home at the Goddard School in Michigan, where my Aunt Shellie teaches.  The girls in her class loved Emmery.  And I enjoyed seeing Shellie's cute classroom!

Emmery loved Troy- she took a long nap curled up in his arms :)

A quiet moment with Grammy Debbie. My mom was a big help with taking care of Emmery.

Playing cards with Daddy.

Going for a walk with Grammy and Aunt Jennie.  We had beautiful Fall weather while we were there.

Getting fed by her great Grandma Mardee, who she shares the same middle name with- Louise :)

Elyse read Emmery lots of books- she even followed the words with her fingers as she read out loud.

This is my favorite picture of the whole weekend- Emmery with her great Grandpa in front of his desk.

And another great picture that I will always treasure- 4 generations of women.

We also made sure to do a little photoshoot of Emmery in her Thanksgiving outfit that my parents gave her.
She is loving pulling herself up.

The week flew by! We headed home early Saturday morning.

Emmery was a little fidgety on the flight home, but she enjoyed sitting on Jamison's lap and looking out the window.

And for her 34 week old picture, Emmery wore a cute outfit from Grandma Jean and Grandpa Tom.

Demonstrating her butterfly pose.

Happy Saturday

Today Jamison turned 30! We celebrated by walking down to Choice City for sandwiches and beers and then relaxed the rest of the day.

And Emmery turned 33 (weeks).

She enjoyed playing with her hat during her photo shoot.

And look at all of her hair :-)

On the move

Emmery is officially crawling and sitting all on her own.

On the first day Emmery started sitting up on her own, her teacher said that she put her down for her nap and when she checked on her a few minutes later, Emmery was just sitting contently in her crib.  She kept laying her back down, and 5 minutes later Emmery would be sitting up :-)
This week she also started saying Dada (sort of)

Here is some of her latest artwork

And with the long hours I have been working and the shorter hours of sunlight, Em's weekly picture had to be done quickly this morning using the flash.  Here's our little munchkin!

A little ladybug

One cold morning I got Emmery ready to go to school and set her down to play while I finished getting everything together.   When I saw her look up at me, I couldn't help but grab the camera (even though we were already running late).

And then she started smiling :)

One thing Jamison and I don't do as often as we would like is work out.  So we decided one evening to go for a run.  Jamison insisted we change Emmery into her jogging outfit!

I was so excited for Emmery's 30 week picture in her cute Halloween costume.  Unfortunately for my picture taking, Emmery is getting much more mobile these days...

And of course the only chance I had for a cute shot turned out blurry :-p

Last Sunday we had a family fun errand day.  Isn't Jamison the cutest dad?

Tom and Jean came up Monday night and watched Emmery.  I found this cute picture on our camera :)

On Halloween, Emmery wore the same mouse costume that I wore for my first Halloween to school.
I love how her toes are curled in this picture.

And here I am in the costume 30 years ago!  I was only 1 week older than she is.

That afternoon Emmery and Jamison came to my work for trick-or-treating.  With all of the cubicles, my office looks like something straight out of Office Space.

On Saturday we had a great time having breakfast with Ken and Patty.

31 weeks!
She moves too quickly for me- guess I need to learn how to decrease my shutter speed...
