Teething and Giggling

This week Emmery's first tooth sprouted up!  In addition, her runny nose turned into a full-on cold with a high temp, sinus issues, and the start of an ear infection :-(
There has been a lot of waking up at night, whining while trying to blow/wipe her nose, and chewing on things.  Poor girl!  In addition, Jamison has been sick.

 (I made her little headband)

But even though she has not been feeling well, Grammy Brewer came up and got her laughing hard with a new spider book! Doesn't she have the cutest laugh?

She also upgraded to a new cellphone after having her first one for only 6 months!  Grammy Brewer's excuse was that it was on sale :-)  It's a serious upgrade- while her last one rattled, this one rings, has a picture of her, and most importantly has a strap that she can chew on or use to fling the phone around!

And with all of us being sick for the past two weeks, it feels like we have spent way too much time sitting around inside.  So today we walked to church and then later had fun playing with the leaves.

Riding in the stroller.

Laying in Daddy's big pile of leaves!

For her weekly picture, Emmery wore her new big girl tight jeans from Grandma Martin.  Notice her chalkboard says, "PS- I love Grandma too!"

Our Little Pumpkin

Jamison dressed Emmery for bed one night, and this is how she came out looking...
I have to admit- her socks stayed on all night!

My mom is always asking when Emmery is going to get hair- her pictures really don't do her hair justice :)  So I tried to capture a picture of it... she has some cute cowlicks in the back that make it stick up slightly at her crown.

Emmery got a special Halloween school outfit from great Aunt Shellie this week- look at how cute our little pumpkin is!

Jamison and Emmery headed down to C Springs on Saturday to see family and watch Mikah and Milan play football.  I have been sick all week, so stayed home and rested (and did laundry, cleaned a little, and made baby food).

Grandma Jean feeding Emmery.  Emmery loved apples and having Grandma feed her!

Playing with cousin Johnny.

Playing with her buddy

This week Emmery had her 6 month well visit.  She is continuing to grow along her lanky curve.  Here are her stats:
weight: 13lbs-9oz (8%)
height: 25.5" (45%)
head circa: 16.75" (50%)

While we were waiting for her appt, I took a quick video of her- she is getting so close to crawling!

She likes carrots :)

On Saturday Tracey and Kelly came up to visit.  We were supposed to go tailgate at the CSU game, but since it ended up being cold we decided to just hang out at our house.
Carter loves babies.  It is so cute to see him with Emmery- he just loves playing with her.
We have to watch those two though- Kelly and I looked away for just a few seconds and Carter gave her a little taste of his slightly melted chocolate... older boys are trouble!

Little Landon loves to follow Carter around, and doesn't think too much about Emmery.. unless she tries to steal his blanket or paci.

And I may have to start putting her chalkboard behind her from now on- otherwise she just wants to play with it.

A beautiful day for a walk

On Saturday Jamison and I went to Earl's in Denver for Dale and Mattie's anniversary celebration.  We had a wonderful time celebrating such a special couple :-)  They have the coolest rings- their fingerprints on the inside of each others' bands.

And while we went out and partied, Emmery hung out with Uncle Scott and Aunt Katie!

On Sunday we participated in the walk to defeat ALS in support of our dear friend Debbie.  It was a beautiful day, and it was great to see everyone.  Kristy made the cutest onesie for Emmery, so I also used it for her weekly pictures :-)

Kristy holding Emmery and Leanne holding Mason.

All ready for the walk!  Notice that my Mom's shirt is backwards :-)

The Schumanns

 The Huffman family

After the walk we went out to lunch to celebrate Scotty's big 28!
And Aunt Deena is in town, so we got to see her too!

Emmery reading her new Halloween book with the birthday boy.  Emmery got more more presents than Scott- such a lucky and well-loved little girl :-)

Standing all by herself (with Jamison very close by!)

And our little baby is now 1/2 year old!  Look how strong she is shaking her weight rattle.

Tricep kickbacks

Checking out her sweet new mobile that crafty Kelly made out of book pages!  We hung it above her reading chair.

She is suddenly loving sticking out her tongue :-)
