And the painting begins

We (meaning Jamison and our dads) have been working hard these past two weekends on stripping, priming, adding soffits, caulking, and painting our house.

Here is the before.  I will show more once we are done and have after shots.

And while they worked hard, Emmery got to visit with her cousins :-)

20 weeks old.  Grandma Jean did the chalkboard and created gorgeous flowers!

She got a bunch of cute outfits (including the one in her 20 week old picture) from Beth and Peter.  So, we had fun doing a photo shoot:

Jamison thought this was just her pose when she was ready for a diaper change- I had to explain to him that she was just showing off her "happy baby" yoga pose she learned at school this week :-)

The girl has loved her baths since she was born, so I figured she would love the pool...

But she hated it and cried for at least 20 minutes after we got out of the pool!  And then she cried again last night when I tried to give her a bath :-(  See how mad she is at me in this picture

And for her big 21, we took "Back to school" shots while reading her princess book.  This chalkboard was done by Grandma Debbie.

Baby Beethoven

Emmery got a new toy- a piano.  We were quite impressed with our baby Beethoven!

My mom came up to spend time with Emmery on Friday, and on Saturday we finally bottled the wine I had ordered from Vintages wine- a small winery that allows you to pick the grapes and flavors in your wine, and then come back and bottle it a few months later.  The whole experience was more fun than I was expecting!

And Jean came up and spent Monday with Emmery.  Emmery sure does love her Grandmas!

A taste of real food

Last weekend Nikkie, Kelly, Jenn, and Andy came up to Fort Collins to do a bike and brew tour.  We had a great time going to various breweries and hanging out.  And Tom and Jean came up and spent the day with Emmery!

On Sunday Amanda and her family came up.  Out of going to the park and Elitches, the weekend event little Johnny was most excited about was coming up to visit his cousin Emmery :)
While they were here we gave Emmery her first taste of real food.  Well I don't know if you can count rice cereal as real food...

Quincie helped!

And Johnny helped Emmery suck on her new toy
