What do you do when a baby is too comfortable in the belly?
I have had numerous people ask me how I've kept myself busy this past week when I have been off of work, not exactly in the most mobile state, and feeling as anxious as a little kid on Christmas Eve.
Here is a list of things I have done:
Here is a list of things I have done:
1) Had my mom come up and stay with me for a night. We had a lot of fun cleaning up the front porch and shopping for some new porch furniture.
2) Cleaned and organized. I have cleaned the things I never ever clean- the refrigerator, oven, blinds. The knives drawer is now fully organized!
3) Walked downtown and had Walrus ice-cream with Denise.
4) Got a pedicure and manicure, courtesy of my God mom.
5) Sewed a throw pillow cover for the babies room and moved the glider in- her room is officially ready!
6) Went and visited my friend Leanne and her beautiful 1 month old baby Mason. He gave Emmery a pep talk on how to be born, but she didn't listen.
7) Went out to lunch with my Mom.
8) Baked really yummy apple muffins using Jeanne's recipe (they are the same muffins she made for my birthday last week). (See the recipe below)
9) Got highlights in my hair.
10) Cooked some dinners.
11) Started working on this blog again :-)
12) Walked in the mornings and watched the news.
13) Talked to my niece Hannah on the phone.
14) Finally relaxed a little and read!
Do I know how to fill up a week or what? Yes, it hasn't been all bad. But now I am really, really ready for little Em to arrive!
And what has Jamison been up to? Working very hard- at work and on the bathroom remodel. I am forever amazed at his work ethic- he gets up at 4:30 to go to the gym or go in early to work and starts working on the bathroom as soon as he gets home in the evening. I can hardly get him to stop for dinner!

Yummy apple, raisin, walnut muffin recipe:
I made a few modifications (per Jeanne's advice):
Do the apples first so that the sugar pulls out some juice
Use less sugar (probably could use half)
Use 1/2 white flour and 1/2 wheat flour
