On Saturday Doug & Denise did a family photoshoot for us, and the pictures turned out great! We have the best neighbors ever.
Last time we got pictures the photographer commented on how we didn't coordinate, so this time I worked hard to get coordinating outfits. I ordered the sweater and bow for Emmery online, and they came the night before- just in time! The bow was a lot bigger than I expected, but turned out cute :)
I'm planning on framing this one!
Denise had gotten two candy canes for us to make a heart with. However, once Emmery got a lick she couldn't stop and ended up getting red sticky stuff everywhere! Guess she'll have her Mom's sweet tooth :)
Emmery is loving finger foods, especially graham crackers. And when she had canned tangerines this week at school, her teacher said that she kept sucking on each slice and saying, "Mmmmmm" :)
This weekend was Jamison's work Christmas party. We were really looking forward to a date night and Christmas shopping in Denver, while Emmery was looking forward to staying overnight at Grandpa Tom and Grandma Jean's.
Unfortunately I got the 24hr stomach flu Friday night :( We decided to still go to the party Saturday night, although instead of going out to dinner before the party, we took a nap in the hotel. After the party we called it a night, and it is a good thing we did because Jamison got the stomach flu Saturday night :( Not quite the romantic weekend we were planning on!
Emmery has also been dealing with stomach issues- she went through 4 outfits at daycare on Friday and ended up coming home in her diaper and a jacket!
However, she had a great time visiting her grandparents this weekend and also got to see Uncle Johnny and Aunt Amanda for a few hours! Grandpa Tom showed her how to climb up the stairs and Grandma Jean read her a fun Christmas book.
On Saturday we went to Kelly's house and Emmery got to play with Mason, Carter, and Landon (although Landon doesn't have much interest in her).
Here she is with Mason. He is one month older than her, and both of them spent a majority of their time just chewing on toys :) Mason is a very happy and social baby.
Carter is so cute with Emmery. He gives her hugs and plays with her.
We are happy that December and Christmas season are here! Emmery wore her new Santa outfit from Grammy Debbie (and Grandpa Jeff) for her 35 week old pictures. She didnt want to keep her bow on until I showed her how cute she looked in the mirror :)
Today we got a tree and put up our Christmas decorations! Something about a Christmas tree- it always makes you feel happier.
This year we got to spend Thanksgiving with the Malloys! We had a great week in Michigan- we relaxed, played cards, did a little shopping, ran, helped put up Christmas lights, went to a movie, went to Red Robin, got highlights, watched Dancing with the Stars, ate good food, and Emmery enjoyed getting to know her second cousins, aunts and uncles, and great grandparents.
We met my parents at the Denver airport and all flew out together. Emmery liked playing with Grandpa Jeff's hat! She also enjoyed sleeping with him on the flight.
The first night we got there they had a surprise celebration for Jamison's 30th birthday :)
Aunt Jennie also came out and stayed at my grandparents' house with us. Emmery loved playing with her great Aunt Jennie.
Happy little girl. Every morning Emmery sat in the center of the dining room table and got lots of attention while everyone ate breakfast and did Sudoku's.
We went over to Aunt Stacie's one day for a special lunch, and Gavin and Brooke showed Emmery the Indian hats they made for Thanksgiving.
Emmery felt right at home at the Goddard School in Michigan, where my Aunt Shellie teaches. The girls in her class loved Emmery. And I enjoyed seeing Shellie's cute classroom!
Emmery loved Troy- she took a long nap curled up in his arms :)
A quiet moment with Grammy Debbie. My mom was a big help with taking care of Emmery.
Playing cards with Daddy.
Going for a walk with Grammy and Aunt Jennie. We had beautiful Fall weather while we were there.
Getting fed by her great Grandma Mardee, who she shares the same middle name with- Louise :)
Elyse read Emmery lots of books- she even followed the words with her fingers as she read out loud.
This is my favorite picture of the whole weekend- Emmery with her great Grandpa in front of his desk.
And another great picture that I will always treasure- 4 generations of women.
We also made sure to do a little photoshoot of Emmery in her Thanksgiving outfit that my parents gave her.
She is loving pulling herself up.
The week flew by! We headed home early Saturday morning.
Emmery was a little fidgety on the flight home, but she enjoyed sitting on Jamison's lap and looking out the window.
And for her 34 week old picture, Emmery wore a cute outfit from Grandma Jean and Grandpa Tom.
